Have you always wanted to go back in time and take a look at your ancestor’s face in living color? Well, now you can! MyHeritage has just rolled out a fantastic new tool called MyHeritage In ColorTM. Just look what it can do!
New MyHeritage In ColorTM for Colorizing Black and White Photos
I have always loved seeing the colorized photographs of the Civil War and WWI and WWII. It just seems to make the people and places in the photos seem more real. I remember thinking, “Wow! I wish I could add color to my old photos.” Now, I can.
MyHeritage has just launched a free tool that will let you colorize your own photos in seconds. It’s called MyHeritage In ColorTM. Take a look at few of the images I colorized of my own ancestors.
Aren’t these great?
I noticed that when colorizing photos using MyHeritage In ColorTM , even poor quality pictures result in a pretty good quality colorized image. This is due to their advanced colorization technology licensed from DeOldify. In a recent blog post, MyHeritage states:
The [colorization] technology was trained using millions of photos, and has developed an understanding of our world and its colors. The results are more realistic and of superior quality to those generated by other automatic colorization tools currently available. The black and white photos remain intact and are not changed by the colorization process, which produces new photos alongside the original ones.
MyHeritage In ColorTM even works on faded photos with some color still on them.
