Perhaps the days of having a morning newspaper arrive on your door step are gone, but don’t be sad. Now, you can tune in to Twitter to read a genealogy inspired paper each day (without having to wipe the dew off a plastic bag!) Paper.li is a content curation tool that allows people to create “newspapers” based on topics they choose and to “publish” articles from all over the globe. Paper.li via Twitter
Each morning, I open Twitter and run through my feed to find my favorite genealogy “papers.” For example, I will land on Elizabeth Hansford’s The#Genealogy Daily and click on the link.
By clicking on the link, you will be taken over to the Paper.li website where you can enjoy all of The #Genealogy Daily stories. First, you will see the “headline” news.
If an article catches your fancy, simply click the image or title to be taken to the article in its entirety. Hit the back button to return to The #Genealogy Daily.
But, there is more than just the headline news. Just like in our newspapers of “old,” there are sections on the latest tech, world news, leisure, and science…just to name a few. When you have finished with the headline news, keep scrolling down until you see something like this:
Click on one of the down arrows to the right of a “section” title to see a list of more articles.
