Restore the color to faded or discolored family photos in just ONE CLICK. Is it possible? Yes, it is! MyHeritage has added yet another fabulous tool to MyHeritage in ColorTM called Color Restoration. Take a look at what it can do and learn about their other amazing photo editing tools.
Restore the Color in Your Old Photos
Do you have colored photos that are faded? With today’s tech, it was just a matter of time until someone brought easy photo editing and restoration to the masses. MyHeritage has done it…again! Their new tool called Color Restoration brilliantly restores faded colors in your old photos.
This does not replace their colorization tool which brings your black and white photos to life, but rather restores color to old photos that has faded over the years. Additionally, this color restoration tool will sharpen your photos at the same time.
Here are a couple photos I enhanced using the Color Restoration tool:
How to Use Color Restoration at MyHeritage
To begin, visit myheritage.com/incolor. The page offers two different tools: Colorization and Color Restoration. Colorization is used for adding color to your black and white photos. Color Restoration is used for restoring color to faded photos.
You will be prompted to sign-up for a free account to MyHeritage if you don’t already have an account. You will need to log in to use the colorization tools.
Next, click “Upload photo” and choose a digital image from your computer.
When you have uploaded your digital image, MyHeritage will detect if the photo was originally taken in black and white or in color. If the photo was originally black and white, then it will be colorized. If it was originally in color, then the colors of the photo will be restored. In just seconds, you will have a photo that looks like it was taken today!
